POKOTABI / PLACES WORTH A DETOUR
食事処・志野
Located inside the Gotanda Shokudo food hall in the Gotanda JP Building, Shino serves hearty, rice-friendly set meals, from its signature shichimi-and-soy pork stir-fry (Niku-Shichi) to classic stir-fried pork and vegetables or ramen with half-portion fried rice.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Coated in an aromatic soy-based sauce and punctuated by the gentle heat of seven-spice blend (shichimi togarashi), the pork belly stir-fry set meal—affectionately known as "Niku-Shichi"—has long stood as Shino's signature dish. Richly glazed slices of pork belly pair effortlessly with shredded cabbage and a swirl of mayonnaise, creating a balance of savory depth and subtle spice that keeps the freshly cooked white rice disappearing fast. Rounded out with warm miso soup, it is the kind of hearty, unpretentious meal meant to be dug into eagerly for lunch or dinner.
Beyond the famed Niku-Shichi, the menu features a dependable lineup of classic diner and neighborhood Chinese-style standards. Offerings include a stir-fried meat and vegetable set meal with crisp cabbage and bean sprouts, as well as a half-portion fried rice paired with light-broth Shina soba ramen. Guests can easily tailor their meal to their appetite, whether by adding a small side of boiled dumplings (sui-gyoza) to a set or opting for ankake yakisoba, where a rich, savory starchy sauce drapes over crisp-seared noodles.
Set within the Gotanda Shokudo dining area on the 1st floor of the Gotanda JP Building, the venue offers an approachable setting suited to solo diners and colleagues alike. Inside the restaurant's dedicated seating area, guests can place orders verbally and settle the bill after eating. Come evening, it also serves as a handy spot for a relaxed drink, pairing bottled beer with à la carte dishes. With support for credit cards, transit IC cards, and various QR payment services, checking out between errands or commutes remains smooth and hassle-free.
